Mredini is a neurodiverse artist from Chennai, Tamil Nadu whose visual language and passions mirror the visual oeuvre of CY Twombly. Expressive and vibrant, the work easily incorporates an element of freedom and joy while demonstrating a complex understanding of colour. Whether it is the tangible textures or the brushstrokes that reverberate with intensity; her work speaks for itself. Abstraction and tone are the main focus as she weaves an intuitive pattern of colour in the works.
'She takes a while to warm up, but when ready, she'll smile and jump right in with her hands in the paint! She enjoys exploring paint- the strokes, seeing colours mix, drip and create patterns, she works with her hands and fingers- pushing and spreading paint and using materials such as sponges and bubble wrap to create textures. She often works wielding a brush in both hands simultaneously.' - ABWA Chennai
Mredini's work is supported by A Brush With Art. They are a Chennai-based visual art program that promotes the expression of natural art.
