Shreya Chajjed maps the human psyche through the medium of video and installation. Daring to break through the ordinary while creating a space for the new, her images derive from the subconscious, gently ushering a new perspective while maintaining a light approach. Her minimally toned, nature-centric works allow her to envision the bond between herself and her surroundings as a fragile but deep one. As each work becomes a reflection of an intimate narrative, the saying 'as above, so below' certainly comes into play.
Shreya graduated from Stella Maris College, Chennai with a B.V.A. in Painting (2017), and an MFA in Contemporary Art Practices from Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology, Bangalore. (2020)
